The Rain
5:03 AM | Author: Sherry Italia
The tranquil darkness was vaguely jolted
When something from the blue bolted
From a shallow whimper to a deafening blast
The clouds gathered in rebellion fast
Armed with weapons they tactfully clashed
Their wrath over the dry Earth lashed
The peaceful sky, now a roaring din
She was not prepared for a battle within
Sparks of white hit through her heart
Through dark clouds tore her chest apart
The growling thunder hit her ear
The swords of light ridiculed her fear
They stabbed her, as she wailed in pain
The Earth witnessed her tears in rain
Her throat choking, her body battered
She got bruised every time it splattered
And while some danced blissfully carefree
Some sympathized with her in flooded misery
